Syntans

Syntans give the leather various strength, handling and fastness properties. It enables a more environmentally friendly production. There are groups suitable for “metal free” white tanning. They are also used with the advantage of obtaining the color of the leather in pale and light tones by reducing the color disadvantage of tanning substances that give color to the leather, such as chrome and vegetable tannins. It is possible to eliminate the deficiencies, especially in leathers tanned with chrome, vegetable and other chemicals, by using suitable syntans in retanning.

it gives more attitude features such as “fullness, softness, elasticity, flatness and tightness”. They provide mechanical advantages such as better buffing and excellent milling propares. With the use of suitable syntans, a ligh and pale or white color on the leather, and accordingly, pastel tones and more uniform dyeability is obtained. They help to improve various fastnesses such as light fastness.

The products used as auxiliary syntan, on the other hand, ensure process safety, ensuring that the leathers are neutralized in an ideal way, a more uniform and homogeneous distribution of the chemicals to be given after them, and smooth and thin skinned leathers are obtained by using them in pre-tanning.
